With increase in heat dissipation rate and reduction in overall form factor, thermal management of electronics devices is becoming very important part of electronics product design.

Electronics chip/IC/processor  performance, reliability and life are inversely proportional to the its temperature (higher the temperature lower will be the product life). By performing product thermal analysis in initial stage of product design you can save cost and product design life-cycle time can be reduced.

Stereolithography - SLA 3D Printing Technology

SLA 3D printers create 3D printed parts from a liquid photo-polymer resin by using a light source to solidify the liquid material.

To create a 3D printed object, a build platform is submerged into a translucent tank filled with liquid resin. Once the build platform is submerged, light source inside the 3D Printer makes each layer of the part from the bottom of the tank. When light source comes in contact with resign, it gets solidified and the platform lifts up and lets a new layer of resin flow below the part. This process is repeated layer by layer until the required part is completed.

SLA 3D Printing technology is also available in desktop 3D printers. Materials are limited to resins. With SLA 3D printing it is feasible to make high strength to flexible part.

Fused Deposition Modelling : FDM 3D Printing



Working Principal: 

Heated thermoplastic material comes out through a nozzle layer by layer to form 3D printed plastic parts. After each layer is extruded, build platform moves down making place for the next layer.

Layer thickness in FDM printing depends on the nozzle. Thinner layers gives smooth finish and takes more time to finish the part as compared to thicker layers.


ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, PC+ABS, PLA equivalent FDM materials are available in multiple colours including blue, red, yellow, white, black etc

For Industrial Grade FDM 3D printers aerospace and medical grade industrial materials are also available.
