Fused Deposition Modelling : FDM 3D Printing



Working Principal: 

Heated thermoplastic material comes out through a nozzle layer by layer to form 3D printed plastic parts. After each layer is extruded, build platform moves down making place for the next layer.

Layer thickness in FDM printing depends on the nozzle. Thinner layers gives smooth finish and takes more time to finish the part as compared to thicker layers.


ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, PC+ABS, PLA equivalent FDM materials are available in multiple colours including blue, red, yellow, white, black etc

For Industrial Grade FDM 3D printers aerospace and medical grade industrial materials are also available.

  • FDM is a cheapest 3D printing technology available in market right now.
  • FDM 3D printers gives a rough surface finish.
  • Complex geometries can be manufactured with FDM 3D printing technique.
  • Multiple Features and components can be combined into one design in parts manufactured with FDM 3D printing
